Hey Stan:

Don't feel bad, I'm still missing the $5000 Crystal Park chip...

I know the guy who has 2 of them, and he won't even consider selling one !!

Have a safe holiday and I hope your best Christmas gift is a great set of chips !

Long time, first time... and the Paulson Vineyards pushed me out of the lurker status for good.

OK John, Stan, who has a couple racks of $1s they'd sell me?

You should be asking Mrs. Stanahan.

Hey Wedge,

I wondered about that after reading this whole thread, but I just didn't have the stones to phrase it that way in my first post!

Man we went to war and Hanahan lost. No shame in my game I got caught and had to figure a way out. It's all JBs Fault.

If you are going to fall for a pretty woman, it might as well me a pretty woman with a substantial collection of mint Vineyard Paulsons...

Devel:

Good luck finding full racks of any denomination; right now on eBay, I don't see a single one for sale...

Best advise: go ahead and put together a sample set of each denomination and work on a playable set over time....

Good Luck !

Stan:

Seems like it was just yesterday and we have come a LONG way !!

Have fun chipping; there are very few things in life that are legal, non-fattening, and OK'd by the wife...

Oh well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad...

Have a great 2007...

heh...Jambine was my first enabler.  "Hey Rose, you want this cool $1 Midnight Rose chip I got?"

398 collectible chips later...

Hmm...come to think of it, you were one of my early pushers, too!   So, John recruited you, you got me...who's next? Wink

Seriously though, that was a way cool gift you got Seven®™.  Way cool.

John, thanks for the advice. My only problem is that your plan requires patience! Isn't that something chip collectors don't have? My wife bought me (you read that right) almost two racks of $5s for a mixed casino cash set, and now all the other denoms look so shabby next to the Vineyards!

Yes its true that on a side-by-side basis, The Vineyards really put all the other Paulsons to shame...

So keep your eyes peeled; some collectors are in their sixties and will soon have to sell their chips to us younger vultures !

How did you do it? My normal Paulson cleaning methods won't work-

Devel:

I only have 2, one of each style. They were pretty clean when I got them, but I touched them up using a little Oxyclean and warm water and a tooth brush.

They are hot stamped foil chips, so be extra careful not to scrub off the gold foil...

Good luck,

Dear Stan:

We all got word today that you have passed over to the other side and won't be blessing these pages with your words of wisdom any more....

You will be missed, but not forgotten. Thanks for being such a good friend. Godspeed.
