I am going to try my first mixed game this weekend.  The majority of us will be learning these games as we play.  I had planned to do either .5/.10 or .10/.20 but my question is should I do limit or no-limit?  buy in's will be either $10 or $20, most likely $20 since that's what the ATM spits out lol.

Game rotation (will change game every orbit, expecting 5-7 players)

Omaha 8
Badugi
2-7 triple draw (for newbies would single draw be better?)
4 card ocean crazy pineapple
Tahoe
SOHE (simultaneous hold em and omaha)(only will play if 7 handed or less)

Any thoughts or advice from mixed game veterans?

How do you play simultaneous Hold 'Em and Omaha?

Can't deal 6 cards (2 HE, 4 O).  No way to be sure that the cards would remain properly separated.

Can't deal 4 cards and make the first 2 HE cards only for the same reason.

You deal out 6 cards to each player.  Each player than has to separate their cards into a 2 card Hold 'Em hand  and a 4 card Omaha hand.  These hands are capped and cannot be changed.  Then you do the pre-flop betting round and then deal the flop and play it out like regular hold 'em.  Best hold em and Omaha (high) hand split the pot.

Limit or No Limit depends on the game.

Considering your games I'd suggest all Limit games.

If most of your group are still learning the games, I'd stick to the regular poker variants:

- NLHE
- PLHE
- Limit Hold'em
- PLO
- O8 (Limit)
- PLO8
- Stud (Limit)
- Razz (Limit)
- Stud8 (Limit)
- Badugi (Limit)
- Badacey (Limit)
- Badeucy (Limit)
- 2-7 TD (Limit)
- 2-7 SD (No Limit)
- 5 Card Draw High (No Limit)
- 5 Card Triple Draw High (Limit)
- 5 Card Stud (Limit)

Plenty of games to choose from before you go to all kinds of crazy variations :)

I'll play you in any game you name for any amount you can count.
