300 members! Here's how we'll determine the winner of HPT Giveaway #3 ...
The first 300 registered members are eligible to win. If you click on the 'Members List' icon at the top of the page, you will see a screen of 50 members. Sort that list by clicking on the 'Date Registered' heading so that nutN2Lewz is the first member listed. That page contains 50 members - nutN2Lewz is considered member #1 and the last member on the page is considered member #50. On further pages Wallacer=51, sirredz=101, trainbow=151, tke248=201, bkplem=251 and Dalmar72=300. For the purpose of this giveaway, member #300 is considered to be member #000.
To determine the winner of this giveaway We will use the last three numbers of the DJIA close (the number before the decimal and the two numbers after the decimal). For example, if the close is 10307.29 - member #729 wins. Since there are only 300 members eligible to win, we will treat the closing number before the decimal as a 0 if that number is 0, 3, or 6, as a 1 if that number is 1, 4, or 7, and as a 2 if that number is 2, 5, or 8. For example, member #231 wins if the last three numbers are 2.31 or 5.31 or 8.31. Member #031 wins if the last three numbers are 0.31 or 3.31 or 6.31. If the number before the decimal is a 9 ... the giveaway will be doubled (4 decks of cards) and will be awarded using the following business day's closing quote.
If the DJIA close ends in 0.01 (member #1 - nutN2Lewz) or any registered member who is a family member or advertiser (all ineligible) ... the giveaway will be doubled (4 decks of cards!) and will be awarded using the following business day's closing quote.
The DJIA closing quote that we will use is the one posted at the Wall Street Journal website located at http://online.wsj.com/public/us
. I will take a snaphot of that page after the markets close and the DJIA closing number that is shown, whether correct or not, will be the number used for the giveaway. For this giveaway we will use the DJIA close on Thursday July 14, 2005
You are all automatically included in HPT Giveaway #4 ... 2 FREE decks of playing cards to one of the first 400 registered members!
Good luck, nutn
