One giveaway entry per memberOnly one reply per member per giveaway thread is allowed. Posting more than one reply in a giveaway thread automatically results in
all that member's replies being ruled ineligible.
4PM (Eastern Time) DeadlineIn general, all giveaway registrations will close at 4PM (16:00) Eastern Time on the day of the giveaway. Due to work commitments (and my personal life) I might not be able to 'lock' the registration threads at exactly 16:00 for every single giveaway. As a result of this, there might be some late (but invalid!) registrations posted in the giveaway threads after the 4PM deadline.
Each message posted in these forums includes the exact time that the message was posted. Any message posted at 16:00:00 or later (on the date of the giveaway) will NOT be considered a valid registration. All these late registrations will be ignored.
How we will randomly choose the winner(s)Every post in the registration thread automatically contains a Reply #. You win the giveaway if your Reply # matches the last three numbers (the number before the decimal and the two numbers after the decimal) of a Wall Street stock market quote. For example, if the DJIA closing quote is 10301.29 - Reply # 129 wins and if the closing quote is 10302.21 - Reply # 221 wins.
For most giveaways we will use the DJIA closing quote to determine the winner of the giveaway. I will take a snaphot of the
Wall Street Journal web page after Wall Street closes at 4PM Eastern Time. The quotes that are shown, whether correct or not, will be used for these giveaways. If the DJIA closing quote for that day results in a
non-winning giveaway number, we will use the same day's closing quote from Nasdaq, S&P 500, Global DOW, FTSE 100, and the Nikkei Average (in that order). If none of the closing quotes results in a winning giveaway number, we will use the
following business day's closing quotes, in the same order.
1-100 repliesIf there are less than 101 replies in a giveaway - we will only use the final two numbers of the closing quote (the two numbers after the decimal). Reply# 100 is considered to be Reply# 00.
101-200 repliesIf there are more than 100 and less than 201 replies in a giveaway - any winning number that begins with a 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 will be considered to start with a 0 and any winning number that begins with a 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 will be considered to start with a 1. For example, winning number 636 is altered to 036 and winning number 701 is altered to 101.
201-300 repliesIf there are more than 200 and less than 301 replies in a giveaway - any winning number that begins with a 0, 3, or 6 will be considered to start with a 0, any winning number that begins with a 1, 4, or 7 will be considered to start with a 1, and any winning number that begins with a 2, 5, or 8 will be considered to start with a 2. For example, winning number 636 is altered to 036, winning number 426 is altered to 126, and winning number 804 is altered to 204. Any winning number that begins with a 9 will be ignored and another closing quote will be used.
301-400 repliesIf there are more than 300 and less than 401 replies in a giveaway - any winning number that begins with a 0 or a 4 will be considered to start with a 0, any winning number that begins with a 1 or a 5 will be considered to start with a 1, any winning number that begins with a 2 or a 6 will be considered to start with a 2, any winning number that begins with a 3 or an 7 will be considered to start with a 3. For example, winning number 636 is altered to 236, winning number 426 is altered to 026, and winning number 704 is altered to 304. Any winning number that begins with an 8 or a 9 will be ignored and another closing quote will be used.
401-500 repliesIf there are more than 400 and less than 501 replies in a giveaway - any winning number that begins with a 0 or a 5 will be considered to start with a 0, any winning number that begins with a 1 or a 6 will be considered to start with a 1, any winning number that begins with a 2 or a 7 will be considered to start with a 2, any winning number that begins with a 3 or an 8 will be considered to start with a 3, and any winning number that begins with a 4 or an 9 will be considered to start with a 4. For example, winning number 636 is altered to 136, winning number 726 is altered to 226, winning number 804 is altered to 304, and winning number 926 is altered to 426.
More than 500 repliesIf there are more than 500 replies in a giveaway - we will not alter any of the winning numbers. Any winning number that does not produce a winner will be ignored and another closing quote will be used.
Good luck to everyone, nutn
F.A.Q.How will I know if I have won?You will receive a PM (Personal Message) from NutN2Lewz with a title of "You won a giveaway!". You will be asked for your name, address, email address, and phone number if outside the USA (needed for customs) and all of this information will be sent to the supplier who will ship your goods directly to you.
When will I receive my goods? For one-day giveaways, it usually takes a day or two for me to receive the needed information (name, address) from the winner(s). I then send the information to the supplier and the supplier ships out the goods.
For repeating giveaways (Mon-Wed-Fri) I send the information to the suppliers
every week to ten days. This means that if you win a
repeating giveaway, you might not receive your goods for several weeks. In addition, some suppliers might ship all the goods at the end of the giveaway, rather than piecemeal throughout the giveaway.
How long does shipping take?It depends on the supplier, the goods, and the distance to you. In general, anticapate delivery times of under one week within the USA, a week or two to Canada, and one month to Europe. I will
not contact suppliers and inquire about delivery times for your shipment.
