> "They feature the same colors and edge spots as the original Paulson Pharaoh's chips which are no longer available."

What? The edgespot patterns of these are obviously COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from those of the original Pharaoh's (which had the same pattern for all denoms). In addition, there are two entirely new denoms (5c and $5000), originally not available.

> "They are similar to the Dunes Commemorative chips reviewed below so I will not go into much detail about the construction and feel of these chips."

Again: What? Dunes are injection molded plastics, while Pharaoh's are compression molded (china) clays. Materials, production process, look and feel of the Pharaoh's are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from The Dunes. FYI: There actually are china clay Dunes chips available, that are similar to the Pharaoh's, but these are not the ones "reviewed below".

Thanks for your comments. I altered my written review to eliminate the statement about the identical edge spots - they are obviously different.

These chips feel and sound similar to the Dunes so I will leave that statement intact.

Similiar to the China Clay Dunes, yes, but the Plastic Dunes you reviewed are poles apart and not even remotely similar. Seriously.

Chip pics in your Dunes review are from the plastic version, while the chiproom-link actually leads to the china clay version. Perhaps you reviewed the clays, but accidentally used pics of the plastics?

I have today received 10 Pharaoh chips in the mail.

They have been used and I requested them as I have never seen/handled a china clay chip before and as I am considering buying a set soon thought it prudent to have sight of a similar item.

The Pharaohs I received are identical to the $500 chip in  nutn's review.

They have a slight smell, I would describe it as rubbery/plastic
They are the least slippy chip I have handled including various ceramics, Paulson TH&C, slugged composites.

They are so grippy that I can't imagine a stack falling over unless pushed.
I don't so chip tricks so can't comment on the suitability for that task.

Labels have a very obvious silver/grey tone but I have heard that this is very common on 'white' labels on china clay chips.

Overall I like them but would only consider buying china clays at a very cheap price...they are better than what I have but anything I now buy is just a stop-gap until I can buy Paulsons ;-)
