I'll be playing on June 13th, and hopefully one or two days after that as well Smiley

Not in the One Drop tournament though...

Wish I could, but even then I wouldn't Wink

I like that they've dunped the whole delayed " November Nine" nonsense.
  It's back to being the WSOP ME Tournament it always was, winner in July on the "last day" of the ME.

Sorry to disappoint you, but if you read the structure sheet for the Main Event it says:
'The Final Table will resume play October 28-30, 2012'

So I guess it will be the...October Nine... Huh Huh Huh

Yup. Moved up a bit because of the Presidential Elections in November.

Is it me or does it seem as if they are trying to "drum up business" with the following...
1 - the 4 handed event
2 - the mix max event - from 9 handed to 6 handed to heads up (with seeds based on chip stacks)
3 - the bounty event
4 - the partners tourney
5 - the event with no blinds (all antes)
I think these sound interesting (somewhat) but holy smokes what's next? alternating hands tourney?

@troysteelerfan
Double board Omaha! (kidding...I hope). Yeah, I agree, it's a circus. But ever since the Harrah's takeover the thing has been turning more and more corporate and the days of a the WSOP being a serious poker event are long gone.

A $25,000 buy-in Home Game Championship. Similar to the Poker Player's Championship in structure, but the games are 7-card Anaconda, 7-card No-Peek, 7-card Hi-Lo Push, 9-card Baseball, and Crazy Pineapple.

My favorite "home game" variant is actually one invented by my uncle. (At least he thought it up. It may have existed before coincidentally.) It's called "Trips or Better". It's a 5-card draw game with unlimited draws. When it comes your turn to draw cards, if you have trips or better, you can lay your hand down and claim the pot, OR you can slowplay your hand and try to build the pot some more, but if someone else lays down their hand, you're SOL.
