i just got a new double deck in plastic case of poker size 4 color copags (because the idiots don't make 4 color bridge size, still) and the individual decks are plastic wrapped as usual but the outer cardboard bit wasn't wrapped in plastic like all my orther copag double decks and there is no divider bit like all my other double decks of copags,

all my other copag double decks came plastic wrapped over the cardboard and with a plastic dividing tab to separate the 2 decks, is this how they come now? no plastic divider bit and not plastic wrapped? (no i do not think it is)

If they have a cartamundi logo, they are probably cartamundi cards .....

i know my cards bro,

the new copags have this stupid heart inside a spade AOS since they were bought by cartamundi or something instead of the copag knight on a horse.

come on man, it's a legitimate question in a legitimate thread which you have not contributed to in any waythat is good and when people write this ... dot dot dot thing it is really annoying

If you got yours that way then I'd guess that that's the way they come now. I'd say the chances of you getting a one off setup with a different logo and packaging are fairly astronomical. You could also ping Cara Gail's or Trident and ask them.

i guess maybe that's how they come now, the box is lower quality now too, not as bad as a kem box but significantly worse than it used to be and the AOS design looks very crappy, even though i'm used to it by now.
losing my faith copag, losing it

i was thinking because there was no outer wrapping the dividing insert might have fallen out or been taken out, nothing to hold it in the way the thing's packaged and i have seen pictures of the newer copag double decks with a plastic divider present

either way i'm not happy but i appreciate the relevant post sir

I am pretty sure it was Copag that bought Carta Mundi.  I, for one, like the spade logo that Copag uses now, but on to business . . .

When you say a crappy box, are you talking about the plastic case, or is it now a cardboard box, like casino Kems?  I recently bought Copags, and the plastic case was the same as always, so I wonder if this is limited to the 4-colour line (ugh)?

no it's still the black plastic box, it's not as good as it used to be, closer to a kem plastic box in quality (worse)

you prefer the new copag logo to the old horse one, really? i always thought it was a joke

just want to clarify what this thread is about guys,

it's not about cartamundi,

it's not about logo's, old or new

it's only about how new copag double decks come packaged, whether it should have had a plastic wrap around the cardboard overlay and whether i am missing the dividing tab or not

thanks

If I had to guess I'd say that you got a package that was either already opened or that had it's plastic torn off during handling. Not having the plastic tab would be worse than useless since one deck would spill over to the other side when the setup is not in use. And when is the last time anyone bought *anything* that wasn't wrapped in plastic?

When you say dividing tab, are you talking about the plastic piece that is perpendicular to the bottom of the box to keep the two decks separated when in the box or the little removable plastic piece that attaches to the perpendicular divider?

gmason, If you are not happy with the product, I think think the best advice is to contact the vendor.  BTW, Copag does make a 4-color bridge set.

The OP was a bit unclear on exactly what the problem was.  Sorry about the offensive "dots".  I'll try to be more helpful in future posts.

don't worry i'll be on that vendor buddy, i'm just waiting because trident asked me where i got them, i told him and seeing what he say's

no problem about the dots, they just get me. an unpleasant individual i used to know couldn't write a sentence without overusing those things, i wouldn't have minded if they were ever relevant or that person knew what they meant, pet hates you know. and if i was unclear in my op i apologize also.

if you can link me to these bridge size 4 color copags you can dot me up all you want man, i've never seen them, i've seen 4 color bridge modianos: modiano essence, but never copags, please illuminate me jambine

My 4-color poker Copags that I won from DD came in a box with the divider in the middle.  I don't think they had the little removable tabby on top of the divider, though.

Pretty sure the whole thing came wrapped in plastic.

Did I mention I won them from DD?

which 4 color copags you got? these are what we just got, the cards in question: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Copag-Color-Plastic-Playing-Cards/dp/B000F9YRZK/ref=sr_1_34?ie=UTF8&m=A19HST8ZC5SR6J&s=generic&qid=1317921407&sr=1-34

I just added some dot, dot, dots to my site last night ...

"There are three versions of these poker rules for smart phones ..."

Personally, I kinda like 'em. They give me an "impending" feeling. I see dot, dot, dots and I can't wait to find out what happens next. It may be good or it may be bad, but you just know that something interesting is going to follow. For instance when you read my quoted sentence, aren't you just dying to find out what three versions of my mobile poker rules are available? I bet you visit the page just to satisfy your curiosity.

I did a search of my website and found 798 occurrences of "..." on 150 different pages. Sure most of those are used for software programming purposes but I have come to the conclusion that I may have a problem with dot, dot, dot addiction. My About This site page contains 11 occurrences of dot, dot, dot. I agree that that is a bit much ... but admitting the problem is the first step in recovery.

Good luck, nutn

that was a one time thing to show that i have a GSOH sir, a one time thing

and it was actually relevant to use them for once, unless this guy finds me some bridge sized 4 color copags which don't exist, unless they do, then he gets bragging rights over me, except he won't because they don't

I haven't done extensive research, but everything I've seen shows that the 4-color Copags were poker width only.

I couldn't figure out why Dr. Neau posted those photos of the female baseball player. It just came to me ... her name is Dot?

And then I looked at Wedge Rock's signature with the mention of "over-using ellipses". I did not know that dot, dot, dots had an official name. So I did a Google search on 'ellipse'. Grammar Girl - Quick and Dirty Tips For Better Writing explained the proper use of ellipses in writing. To make this issue even more interesting than it already was, it appears that each dot is an ellipse but all three dots together is referred to as an 'ellipsis'. So I guess it can be referred to as either 'ellipses' or an 'ellipsis'. And all this time I was referring to it as 'dot, dot, dots'.

Good luck, nutn
