Here's a story my friend told me about a hand he played at a home game recently:
Player A (my friend) is in the pot with Player B (dealing). The flop has come, and all flop betting is complete. At this point, the two players are supposed to choose one hole card to throw away. Player B inadvertently forgets to wait for Player A to throw a hole card before bringing the turn. What happens here?
What I would have done:
Treat it like any premature turn card. Let Player A toss a hole card, bring the river as the turn, then shuffle the original turn back in with the stub.
How the host of the home game ruled:
Player A's hand is dead because he has the wrong number of cards on the turn.
