Just curious, what kind of school is this? Cuz that's the kind of stuff which belongs in either an arts college or a major exhibition.

My daughter goes to a High School in the Catholic school board (Ontario funds a Roman Catholic and a Public system, don't ask).  The school runs a dedicated Regional Arts Program, where students do not have elective course, but instead take preselected courses in their given "specialty".  They have various streams for music (instrumental, vocal), dance, and visual arts (my daughter).  She applied before entering and was rejected, as part of her portfolio contained Anime sketches.  Both local Arts schools seem to have a bias against this form of Art (there is a Public board school as well).   So, fast forward a year and a half, and her work has progressed to the point where we were asked if she would consider joining the program now.  Well, duh . . . so, next sememster she starts in the program she should have been in from the get-go.


The wife and I are extremely proud that she turned the initial rejection into a driving force that helped her improve to the point where the school recognized their mistake, and her talents.
