I don't have all of the info on this one, but my nephew was in a tournament and this hand came up.  He had pocket queens and raised preflop and got three callers.  Flop was A-Q-J with two hearts.  He makes a bet and proceeds to get three guys in a row that all go all-in.  Now all I know is there were no reraises preflop so he really couldn't put anyone on aces.  Still possilble though.  For the sake of knowing more, let's say that my nephew has $10,000, and the other three have around $2,000-$8,000 and $20,000 respectively.  Tournament started with 18 players and they are down to 11.  Pays 3 spots.  I don't know what the blinds were or what the bet was after the flop.  I say it's an easy fold, because you know your beat.  What do you think?

I'm not folding there. If someone has Aces then so be it. If someone flopped Broadway then we'll just have to boat up. You weren't specific on the blinds and the bet sizes but by the time the pot is raised pre and bet into by QQ you may well have the correct pot odds to hope the board pairs if you're even behind in the first place. You're nowhere near the bubble so you will either build your stack up or you can go play in the cash game. Even if you don't scoop the pot you can still end up with chips if you take the side pot.

It's hard to say without more info, but this is almost always a snap call.

My friends are not professional poker players but they act like it at the poker table and they say call.

hard one.  I originally thought call.

As your getting 4-1 at least and your outs give you 28% chance it looks like a call.

But that 28% should be halved for the fact that one of the callers could have two pair that get him a better FH if you hit your outs.

so the mathmatics i think says give it away and fight out another day. but I probably call at the table just cause its a fn set and you cant fold a set can you.

Flop is AQJ.  So the only FH that could beat you is pocket aces if the board pairs.  Of course a king on the turn and a pair on the river could also produce a full house.

But I wouldn't halve my percentage because there could be a better FH out there.

Definitely a snap call. I'd figure the chance of being up against aces is slim. The straight possibility is there but there is only one guy with a stack big enough to felt the caller. Even if I'm beat there is a good chance that I could still have chips to rebuild with.
