RIP Mike Flanagan

Baseball has lost one of it's greats and the Orioles have lost a member of the family.  Mike Flanagan, a member of the Orioles organization for more than quarter of a century, sadly took his own life yesterday.  Flanagan was a rare breed and his loss is felt deeply.

He was one of the top Oriole pitchers of all time and I had the pleasure of watching him during one of the great O's eras.  This has hit hard, and close to home as he lived just a few miles from me.  I'm shocked, and saddened.

Rest in peace Mike, and God bless.  Your impact on Baltimore will long be remembered.
