OK, here's yet another sob story that we poker players love to tell and could care less to hear. Lucky for you, you don't have to hear it. Instead, you get to read it..

Points Tourny (7 tables, 40ish players)
2nd Blind level 200-400

I am UTG w/  and raise to 1200
Folded around to SB who calls and BB calls.
**Side note- SB & BB are husband and wife respectively and he has shown that he is extremely new to the game**

Flop- 

SB bets 1000- BB calls- I raise to 5000- SB calls (rather quickly)- BB folds

Turn- 

SB checks- I bet 5000 figuring he was chasing and missed. I thought about AK but if so, why check the turn? SB calls

River- 

Board now showing- 

SB looks right at me and checks (usually that combination of actions indicates weakness but something just didn't seem right.

I chuckle and tell him "Check is fine, I got AQ"
He turns over  and says sheepishly " Aces and Fours"

I'm just going to leave it at that and bottle up my potential rant, but I guess I would've lost it all if I was to push on the river
