borgata & WPT hard rock regional

If anyone wants to hook up. Will be playing in half the WPT events in Florida and 2 of the first 3 events @ the Borgata

FYI if you have a Borgata card they are comping midweek!

cashed 33rd place in a field of 1718 only played event 1. Family had problem with security and rooms from 2am to 3am.... had to leave early but stayed for free and comped meals.

Tourney was run aweful.. Player numbers not updated hours @ a time..... breaks not posted or posted wrong.  Tourney played in 2 rooms if questions to floor people either wern't acknowledged or they did not know the answer.  No control over the players in multiway pots.  No control over spectators @ the table (even after complaints.)  Same drunken local with gallery after  3 warnings @ 10PM day 2 players at table had to insiist floor give him penalty... Floor had to be proded to give a penalty.

Spoke to one of the dealers I know from the circuit... He told me worst run tournament he had ever seen and that they were short 4 floor managers.

Also when they say 2 day tournament they mean it.  After playing 11 am to 2am day one.... They would not stop the tourney so day 2 was from @12 noon to 9:50 AM ...No wonder all the players are under 25.

Hey Stu was this at Borgata or Hard Rock? If Borgata, it's surprising because both of my tournament experiences there were positive ... better than Caesar's, at least.

If it was at Hard Rock, I'd expect there to be kinks to work out as it's the first top-tier event there, or anywhere in the state of Florida.

Sorry this was the Borgata.....Actually the Hard Rock got a new Manager about 5 months ago... Bill cares and has actually started turning the Rock around a little.

Which Hard Rock? The one in Hollywood or Tampa?

Hollywood  Actually sat down with him to discuss changes there and other places on a 15 minute break during his new monthly $225..... Great tourney..... busted out 10 minutes before end of day 1...... 50K guarantee... $110K prize pool 1/2 blinds and they use the shuffle-masters lots of poker!
