I know this has been raised a lot before and i have read previous threads but i am having a discussion with a friend who runs a Pub League. So if i can get some answers that i can show him that would be greatly appreciated.

Pre-flop set up:

Player 1 UTG Calls $200
Player 2 Folds
Player 3 Folds
Player 4 Calls $200
Player 5 Calls $200
Player 6 (Dealer) Raises All-in $350
Player 7 (Small Blind $100) Wants to raise-action to be determined
Player 8 (Big Blind $200) action to be determined.

What minimum amount can Player 7 raise by, making his total minimum bet $?
What minimum amount can Player 8 raise by, making his total minimum bet $?

I have a copy of Roberts Rules and am pretty sure of answers but would like help with my discussion.

Thanks to all in advance.

Assuming this is No Limit format, Player 7's minimum raise is 200 since it the larger of the BB and the largest raise so far. The bet is 350 to him so a raise of 200 would make a total of 550 as the minimum bet.

Player 8 has a bet of 550 to him and his minimum bet is also 200 for the same reason as above so 550 and 200 more would mean his minimum raising bet would be 750.

Martini is correct, but I wanted to add that if Player 7 bets more than 550, then Player 8 would have to raise by at least the difference from 350 to Player 7's total bet.

For example, if Player 7 decided to raise to 700 total, then Player 8's minimum raise would be 1050 total (700 plus 350)
