Regarding the BBO Tables thread, read ChipTalk thread before passing judgment

The original thread (http://forums.homepokertourney.com/index.php/topic,26494.0.html) is locked or I would have commented there. If any of you are considering buying a poker table from BBO Tables I would definitely read the CT thread (http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/poker-table-forum/73603-best-custom-poker-table.html) before making a decision about the quality or customer service of BBO Tables.

On that note, let me post my experience with damaged goods from when I ordered my big 'ol wooden tool chest/chip case (some of you may remember that).  This is how it works:

- I ordered my chest.
- Chest arrived when I wasn't home.  One day before my championship!!  Yay!!!  My mom accepted it.
- The package had an indent in the top right edge...but it looked like the impact was absorbed by the Styrofoam.  So I opened it.  Turns out the top of the case was cracked all the way across.
- I contacted the vendor.  They explained the process to me.  I was sad, but understood.
- They opened a claim with the shipper.
- The shipper contacted me and gave me instructions on how to get it ready for them to pick it up.
- The shipper picked up the package and evaluated it.  They determined that it was indeed shipping damage.
- The shipper credited the vendor.
- The vendor sent me a new case...and I got shipping for free (ended up not paying for it at all).
- I received my new case...after my championship...but that's how the process works.

So note:
- It isn't the vendor's fault if the shipping company damages the product.
- I'm not entitled to a refund just because the shipping company damaged the product.  The only thing I'm entitled to is undamaged product.
