Are they? My cut cards are shiny on both sides:)

(I make them myself, I laminate heavy colored paper and cut to size, I have a cutter for making round corners. That way I can have cut cards of any size, so I have cut cards for all my decks, over a dozen cut cards.)

I hate the standard cut cards.

Well, I say hate, I mean I'm not a fan of them.

Actually, I couldn't care about them either way.

But... Copag made these cut cards which were black with gold lettering, and I like those a lot. No really, they are more flexible, thinner, and generally all round better. And they aren't shiny on either side.

Too bad Copag doesn't make those anymore. The newer white and black cutcards by Copag with the red and black or white lettering aren't nearly as good.

Has to do with how each side is used.  You want to always have the shiny (smooth) side facing the bottom of the deck, and the non-shiny (textured side) facing your hand.  That way, the texture of the non-shiny side makes slippage less likely, while the smotthness of the shiny side does nothing to damage the "face" of the bottom card in the stub.

You're welcome . . .
