Again I explain.
I watched on T.V. poker. I'm confuse. A player "all in" then B player call "all in" because equal chips. The dealer call the manger check on count chips or approved for "all in"?
for rule poker on tournament ?

Possible reasons?
1. The dealer is a moron. 2. For some weird reason the dealer cannot make change from the pot (or all of the other players at the table) and needs a larger chip broken down (in my head it's pretty damn hard to imagine that....). 3. Local rule requires that when a player is all in and there is a call a TD, floor person, room manager, etc. must be present. 4. A player is consistently acting in an undesirable manner and needs to be warned, punished, etc. 5. The manager is sexy and the dealer just likes any reason to talk to him/her. 6. The dealer is going on break at the end of the rotation and he/she wants the manager to hold a spot in line at the buffet. 7. All of the dealer positions face west and the dealer wishes to turn all of them around so he/she can properly pray for each hand that is dealt. 8. Smoke break. 9. The dealer just dealt a qualifying bad beat and the hottie in seat 7 who lost the hand at showdown wants to take the dealer back to the room give proper thanks. 10. All of the players just came from the buffet - which had it's "$1.99 all-you-can-eat baked beans!" 11. The street lights just came on and mom won't stop calling.
Some may be more legitimate excuses than others. I'll let you sort them out.

I think the point here is that it was a tournament and both players had the same amount of chips.
In such a situation a chip count is very critical because one chip might make the difference between whether a player busts or not. So maybe the house rules say that when a chip count is needed for those reasons a floor manager shall be present. (Possibly to prevent the dealer from colluding with one of the players?)

Tournament Directors will sometimes help the dealer count stacks. You see it on tv poker alot more than live poker. Sometimes you want to speed things up when you have a big audience watching and waiting.
Good luck, nutn
