is just around the corner? anyone excited? how do you feel about your team?

The Tigers open at 1pm on THUR. vs the Yankees. Looking forward to a good game. Jake has asked me to record the game, and wait and watch it with him after school.

On SUN. were going to BW3's, having a sh%tload of wings, fries, salsa while we watch them play the Evil Empire.

I think the Tigers can take their division. The damn Twins and Whitesox always prove to be a pain in the ass. Tigers made some solid off season acquisitions. I'm ready to get the real games rolling!!!!

Dr N.........up for another bet on a set up of cards at a $25 value?

Not excited at all.  But then, I'm a Royals fan.  Smiley

I am going to try and hopefully get out to a Round Rock Express game this year though.

I'm excited.  Of course I'm a Twins fan so that might piss you off Detroitdad.

I know it is going to be a 3 team race for the central and whichever team stays the healthiest will probably come out on top.

The prognostigators always pick the Twins to finish 3rd in the division, but the seem to find a way to come out on top more often then not.

We face the Evil Empire after you do.  I am going to the Twins Home Opener on 4/8, can't wait.

I don't hate Twins fan's.........you guys can't help yourselve's, lol.

I actually really respect the Twins for their constant competitiveness. Hell, if they don't win the division, they seem like their competing for it every season.

Can't wait!!  There's always something special about the opening of baseball season.  Felt that way ever since I was a kid.  And every spring I hold out hope that my once storied franchise will somehow manage to compete.  And for nearly the last 15 years, it just hasn't worked out.  Maybe, with all the changes, this might be the year...

Looking forward to the opening home series against your Tigers DD!

Should be fun. Excited to see Sabathia (assuming he is starting) and Verlander face off on THUR. Wish I didn't have to wait until 3 to watch it (its more fun watching it with the boy than by myself).

Side Note, Jake and I are thinking of taking a Road trip in June to either a Reds game or a Whitesox/Cubs game (just to experience a different ball park)

GO REDS! Few injuries to the pitching staff but I believe they have plenty of good young pitchers - if they can't get some production from their outfielders I think they have a good chance of winning the division again.

Definitely cannot wait for the season to start. AL East is looking like it's gonna be a great race again, and I just hope it ends well. More than anything I'm just going to be glad to be listening to something other than basketball commentary on ESPN....

I dunno.  I'm not as confident about this season.  Too many unknowns.

The cards are great for O8/b though.

I SO can't wait.  With all due respect to football or basketball, there's nothing quite like baseball and watching the Braves games.  I can't wait for Thursday afternoon. Smiley

I so excited about watching baseball and, mostly, the Braves this season.  It's going to be awesome.  Grin

Yup, Triple A team for the Rangers.  Nolan Ryan is a principal owner and his sons are execs.  Really nice facility.

Now now, let's not sleep on Mazzaro yet. Just 42 scoreless innings and he's got that ERA right back under 4.00 ... oh what's that, he was sent back to Triple-A after the game? My bad.

The thing I don't get, though - how on earth does a manager leave a guy in when he's getting shellacked like that?  I mean, you'd think after 5 or 6 runs you'd consider a change.. By 9 or 10, really, c'mon now..
