Anyone get into the sport this time of year, or have a bracket competition among friends? I started filling one out online a few years ago vs. some friends, and never faired that well..but it's looking like this year might be my year. If anyone is interested, who is your pick to win it all?

I'm not a huge bracket guy but I think they could do better on the format.

First of all, those years with a field of 65 were just terrible. If you're going to exceed a field of 64 then do it right I'd say...and NOT to 128! Personally I think the next stop should have been 72 as a nice "round" number. 68 is kind of an odd duck.

I'd leave the bottom feeders alone. Let podunk conference's champion run into a #1 seed unfettered. I think it would be a lot more interesting to take all of the bubble teams and let them fight it out in games that people would be interested in watching. Throw them all in battles for 12 and 13 seeds. Play the first round games at the regional location, not in Dayton to remove the need to travel. Then extend opening weekend to six days, Thursday through Tuesday.

More teams get in, the added games are more competitive, top seeds still get to pick off the worst teams in the tourney and the NCAA, networks, and cities/venues make more money. Bracket contests get more interesting with more choices and they still get until Thursday to fill them out.

That's how I think they should have expanded the field. </rant>

All I know is as a KU fan (I think they can win the whole thing), I'm thrilled to see a 13-4 and 12-5 upset in our region today..

Dude is definitely weird.. If it's a bot, it's a pretty good one..  If it's a person, it's a pretty bad one.. LOL

I had Richmond (12 seed) picked to win over the 5 seed, and so did the other 4 people in my bracket competition Cheesy. I think KU and Ohio State will meet in the final....and as far as what will happen there...I flipped a coin and ended up with KU...its gonna be such a good game.

I went 11-5 yesterday. Not bad I think. Especially since I haven't watched a game all season, and invested about 5 minutes into my bracket.

FWIW, I love their playoff format. The one and done is awesome!!!!!  Come to play every game, or GO HOME!!!!

I love the format too...crazy upsets coming every year. I went 13-3...and the first 2 games I was wrong on were a total of 3 points. Then again, who really had Morehead St. beating Louisville? Cheesy
