so I think I have around 10 or maybe up to 20$ on one of my debit cards that expires within couple weeks. I am looking to purchase a new deck of poker cards to replace the royals. I am looking for new plastic bridge sized standard cards. it seems like al the sites sell kems for around 30-40$ which I don't have in my debcards or else i would purchase them.

I am looking for some nice feeling solid plastic playing cards that are new, from reading the reviews I was thinking between Kems, modiano or dal negro. any thoughts would  be appreciated.

You could try shopping at: http://www.caragails.com/ Looks like they have setups as inexpensive as $16 and you can get it shipped for less than $2.

Copags are great cards, and are in the $15 range per setup.

Copags are EXCELLENT value for the money.  However, for just a smidge more $$$ you can get Carta Mundis, which are a step up from Copags.  If you want the best you can buy, then you want Modianos.  End of discussion.  There are all manner of choices in between.

What do you like about Royals?
What do you dislike about Royals?
What size of cards?
What size index?

This. Copags are really the only cards I have a lot of use with, and i'm sure there are other options, but Copags are definitely thumbs up in my book.

Okay, re-reading the OP, I would recommend the Carta Mundis over the Copags.  You seem to want a "solid" feel to your cards.  The Carta Mundis have a stiffer feel than the Copags, but are not as pricy as the Modianos, or Dal Negros.  I would stay away from Kems, unless you are willing to pay the premium to get pre-USPC Kems.

So?   What did you get?   I got so itchy I bought some pre-USPC Kems (Circle backs), and the new Modiano Beehives.  Usually I stick to red/blue set-ups, but I will make an exception for quality.

You could look into some Desjgns (J Designs).  Caragails has the Classic Cultures and the Victorians are on eBay.  Great cards and in your price range.

True, as far as it goes . . . but the OP seems to suggest a preference for a "stiffer" card (Modiano, Dal Negro), and Desijns, while excellent, are not really stiffer than Copags.

All depends on what the OP is looking for . . . and if he cares to respond.

yes I am looking for a more stiffer feel. the cards from HSP look like they are top notch quality yet feel "stiff" yet durable and flexible.

I know for one season they used modiano or gemaco. cant remember which one.

I still haven't purchased anything yet becuase i haven't found cards that are within my debit card allowance range.

For stiff feel, get the Modianos for sure.

For durability, you can't go wrong with Copags.

Got my order today . . . SWEET . . .  The circlebacks are very nice.  The design leads to the colour on the backs seeming almost subtle, what with the lines being so fine.  Traditional Kem court designs and pips.  Very nice.  The Beehives from Modiano almost had a Kem sort of appearance, but that could just be because I was riffling the two decks at the same time.  The design is definitely not a standard look for Modiano, which is nice.  These will both be in play shortly.

Trust me, anything mentioned previous will be a tremendous improvement on your Royals.  If $20-25 is out of the range you want to spend, then it is Copags or Carta Mundis.  We used the CMs last night and they were a big hit with everyone.

It's too much. You can definately find a cheaper price. But I can't point where, unfortunately... Just search a little more.

Good luck finding pre-USPC KEms for cheaper than $30.00 . . . at least not new.
