i've primarily played NLHE when online and have very rarely played anything...im starting to get bored i guess playing this and would like to learn a new discipline of poker...whats the most logical or easiest to learn after playing HE for so long...im ok with stud but really havent read into it to become better.  PLO is another game i can play but dont really know if playing it right or optimally.  would love everyone's opinion

You could start with PLO, or Limit Omaha. Like with NLHE there will be a learning curve. You'll probably get run over in the beginning, and draw too often to mediocre hands. But it is a fun game to play.

I'm with William on this, I think PLO is the way to go. I'm trying it myself now, and just starting out at the lowest stakes till i can work my way up. I also have a lot of fun with Omaha Hi-Lo, but thats probably better to start playing after you get some PLO practice.

I often play PLO cash and Tourney's. I love it. Look me up, we can sit at the same table and discuss hands.

I agree with the others. PLO is probably the best "gateway" game into full on dealer's choice nights. It is similar enough to Hold'em that it will be easy to pick up (rules-wise at least). Do some reading on the net or get a book to see how you should adjust your play to do well. Just keep in mind that hand values go way up and that it's a game of the Nuts so avoid trap hands like K high Flushes which can really hurt you.

The full name of the game is actually Omaha Hold'em so he's OK for now...

Playing at a very "fish friendly" PLO, .05/.10 game. I've taken my 10 bucks up to 41 bucks, lol. Thats playing 34% of my hands (7 of them out of the SB/BB position).
