Apparently there's been too much collusion going on from Chinese bots and collusion rings.

The games will be available until Feb 28.

Too bad, it's not too difficult to get a decent ROI from those games.

I managed to change $50 into $1 in two weeks, and that $1 into $230 in another two weeks.

I found them to not only be boring and painstaking to play, but I don't think it took long before they were a solved game and likely easy to collude at.  Therefore, I won't miss them one bit.

Especially the non-turbos...you're talking 90 minutes a lot of the time to double your money minus the rake...

I find these games are really easy to win.

Two days on, and I've raised my bankroll to $295.
I generally cash (and double) about 4 out of 5 games I play.

What was your strategy for them...just be more aggressive early on to build a stack?

I play them tight aggressive early on, and use positional play to make a bet or raise.
Floating seems to work well here too. Everyone is trying to finish in the top 5, so no one wants to risk more chips if they haven't hit anything on the flop.

If the reason for PokerStars shutting down the game is indeed due to the fact that control collusion then that's a pretty disconcerting state of affairs since they presumably can't control collusion in other games either. Granted, DoN tourneys may be more vulnerable to collusion due to the format but still...

I agree, but it seems like their 'solution' to closing these is creating the 'fifty-fifty' format. Not sure if you have heard of this, but it's essentially a double or nothing but the amount you win is determined by your chipstack at the end. You get so much money per 100 chips. To me it seems just as doomed as the double or nothing...

I imagine this was a stab at the new hot thing.  Pokerstars has the player base to pretty much try out anything they want.   FTP hit it huge with Rush Poker, and it's a matter of time before stars or FTP hits the next big gimmick.

Honestly, I'm amazed stars hasn't created their own version of rush yet...i'm guessing there's some reason they can't....copyright laws or something of that sort.

I seem to remember hearing that it was in the process of being patented.  I dont' think FTP was the innovator of it, I think they just found it or whatever.  If that's true, it could have just as easily ended up at stars.
