I'll just put the whole hand in here rather than having to post the results later...but what I'm really wanting to know is what do you do when he donk bets into you on this flop?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Hero (Button) ($8.10)
SB ($4.65)
BB ($3.75)
UTG ($3)
UTG+1 ($4.89)
MP1 ($2.90)
MP2 ($9.32)
CO ($5.82)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5, 5
5 folds, Hero bets $0.30, SB calls $0.25, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.90) 3, 2, 4 (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $1, Hero raises to $3, 1 fold, BB raises to $3.45 (All-In), Hero calls $0.45

Turn: ($7.80) J (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($7.80) 8 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $7.80 | Rake: $0.38

Results:
Hero mucked 5, 5 (one pair, fives).
BB had 6, 6 (one pair, sixes).
Outcome: BB won $7.42

Depends on your style. If you want to gamble it up then betting an open ender/Set draw (ten outs) plus some fold equity is not a terrible place to chase after a big pot. Personally I prolly take a card off then fold when I miss the Turn. I don't mind folding there either against such a coordinated board since even if the guy is just betting one or two overs plus a Flush draw you aren't really getting your money in strong. Personally, with small pairs I am trying to see a flop as cheap as possible with a decent chance at getting correct pot and implied odds to Set mine. I don't mind chucking a missed Set and just because my hand represents an overpair to the board doesn't change my strategy of Set mining.

Stacks are too short to call.  If you're a nit/wuss, fold the flop.  Otherwise, move in.

You have too much equity to fold and, as stooks said, stacks are too short to call, so shoving would be best imo.
You'll see a few hands that are 66-99 (or better), but I think you'll be good here most of the time, and those times you're beat you have a lot of equity, so shoving would seem most profitable.

This was basically my thinking on the flop. I thought the donk overbet that he put out there could have been anything....and didn't necessarily mean I was beat. I think calling is terrible because if I make my straight it is a total action killer, and any overcard is pretty much an ugly one. I really thought he could have had a hand like 45 or 35 and been protecting against the A hitting a straight.

if he donks air or ax a lot, shove for value, otherwise fold, its close tho, defaulting to shipping it vs someone so short, can never be that bad

I probably play to much play money, but I would probably fold the flop (depends a bit on my reads).

Sure, you have an over pair, but there are way to many draws on that board.

Think about it this way: What board cards would improve your hand, but not the villains?

As I see it you would need another 5 to improve, every other card will probably also improve villains hand.

Probably had something to do with trying to think about the decision and play 13 other tables at the same time....
