Yea...pretty crazy but the hand kind of played itself....cant expect A6 or A7 there, I'm pretty sure i'd think I was good....especially since he just ships it.

Agreed.  The pre-flop play and River shove by the villian are horrible IMO.

With that said I'm assuming you were looking for the check-raise on the River???

I debated, but I felt it was more likely that the villan had a busted flush draw than an ace.  Results-wise, it wouldn't have made a difference, but I think most of the time I'm putting in a value-bet on the river.   I really felt like I wasn't getting called here.

When he shoved, I took random Aces out of his range, as I felt a move like that really polarized his range of hands to very very strong or very very weak.  If he is very strong, the money goes in, if he has a missed draw, he might bluff at it.

How exactly do you rule out A6 or A7 from a guy flat calling a barely larger than min-raise? In fact I'd much sooner expect to see A7 or A6 (or A2 for that matter) in that spot than AA.

That may be true, but I think you see 88-JJ much more often that just a random bad ace...and random spades even more often than that.

I would not expect any weak A in that situation.  77 makes more sense of a holding in that spot than any weak A or AA for that matter.

clearly range merge with the call at the front, would be very difficult to put him on AA gven he flat called.

I think with the Fh you've just got to stack of and let it steam you up...

damn shame.  but its like a small % of his hands that he could have that beat you on the end so you have to call pertty much any bet i think.

so sucks
