This is hand #2 of the tournament.
First hand I folded 96o.

Not a bad beat story. I am questioning if I am a donk or not. Should I have suspected pocket aces (which I did suspect) after the 3bet/call preflop and the shove after the flop? I had that sinking feeling, but couldn't justify not calling the all-in. Considering this was the second hand of the tournament, is there any way I could have folded this?

I suppose you could have...but you shouldn't. If he has Aces then so be it. You're only starting with a 75xBB stack and there's just not enough information for you to be sure it is AA. Get it in and hope for the best.

I don't think I've ever correctly folded Kings pre-flop.   I would never do it in a fpp game.   EVER.  So, having said that, my money goes in the middle here.

Frustrating. 8 seats total to the $500 buy-in main event of the CCOOP tomorrow with only 157 entrants to this satellite. Well over half of my total FPPs to enter. Out second hand.

Cheers everybody. At least I did the right thing lol.

There's no way you can fold this, imo.  I would raise more preflop though, but a smaller 4 bet is probably fine.

x2. With that flop he could have just as easily had JJ or QQ.

Well it's not like you busted out on the bubble or anything. Going out on the second hand pays as much as busting out right before the money. If you're worried about using that many FPPs then you should be using the same bankroll management principles for them that you should for your real money account. Thing about FPPs is that they'll automatically accrue for you so at least you have that going for you.

Don't second guess yourself for the right action but wrong result. That will drive you crazy in poker.

I agree regarding the bankroll management but I figured it was a good deal for the FPPs. 5 added seats to a satellite that only had 150 players seemed like a good shot to take. Especially for a $500 buy in event.
