A few months ago I registered for the WSOP Academy training site. While not a total noob I still have a great deal to learn and simply not enough time to study and my results this year have shown it so I decided to sign up for my first pay site knowing that if there was money involved I would find the time.

I don't know what I was expecting but when it started off with the very basics I understood and accepted that more advanced stuff would come along. The section on poker tells was excellent so that first month I was not disappointed at all. After the second month I was hoping for more meat on the bones but once again the lessons were general strategy with a distinct lack of advanced info but maybe I was just expecting to much. The next month was a little better but still not satisfying what I was looking for. After the fourth month I was through the certification course and was left with a feeling of disappointment.

I also had to contact support at least once for every month I was signed up. There was an issue with videos not showing up. There are still 5 chapters that show as not being complete even though all the listed videos show as complete. They are labeled in sequential order so I just have to assume that the missing parts are the interactive tests. It also took about a week for the new months videos to appear after the payment had gone through.
And a week or more to get any feedback from support was the norm.

Overall I don't feel it was worth the money for me but those who are just starting out will learn a great deal.
