Started with a $20 roll that was a donation and I want to work up the right way, staying with good bankroll management. Started at .01/.02 NL, and did pretty well in that. After about 40k hands or so (around 20 days), I moved up to .02/.05 NL.....and I've completely hit a wall. I've put in about 25k hands or so, and I'm down around $10 over that span. I don't feel like I'm playing any worse than I was at the lower level, but there are a few spots where I could have saved a stack. Even with those taken into account, that leaves me at about $5 profit or so over this span. I've reviewed hands, done sessions with other people at the same level, but just cant seem to find what's going wrong. I run above average one day, take advantage of it as much as I can, then the next day it's KK vs. AA twice and I get beat. Just looking for a little bit of advice and some pointers to get me going in the positive direction. Who has played at this level and can help, or has some advice on adjusting your play to moving up levels?
As Martini would say, stop looking at the results. see if you are playing each hand optimally. try no to look at it in terms of winning money, thats is a false goal, according to the book Tao of Poker. play each hand to maximize ur wins or minimize ur losses
