Over a year ago I bought a setup of black/gold Kem Arrows from Trident or Caragails, I don't remember which. I've used the black deck a handful of times, but yesterday I finally unwrapped the gold deck to use. I start shuffling them and a corner of the 8 of hearts cracked and broke off.

If I knew who I got them from, I'd contact them for what to do. I found Kem's contact info online (and just realized it's also on a card in the deck). Since we haven't covered it in awhile on here, I think I send the Ace of spades and the cracked off ... somewhere. So, where to and to whom?

And, is it tacky to use a joker in place of the card in the meantime?  Wink

I'm pretty sure you send it to US Playing Card. If I'm not mistaken they'll replace the entire deck.

They will also want the As.  Call them first and get a return authorization.  It will go to Attn: (someone specific)

This.  Takes about three weeks to Canada.  No idea where you are, so ymmv.

And yes, the joker idea is tacky.  Use another deck . . . that is why you buy 30 set-ups anyway, right?

HA! A guy I played with told me the same exact thing.

I sent the chipped card, the Ace of spades and a note what happened off this morning. Glad I called the number on the card in the deck. USPC is no longer in Cincinnati, they're across the river in Kentucky. But the lady at USPC was super cool, albeit shocked that I had a card chip. She expected I had a card missing.

Meant to post this earlier in the week ... but on Monday I received my new gold deck, I sent the chipped card and ace of spaces off 2 Fridays before, so the whole thing took just 6 business days. Good on'ya, USPC.

I still have the rest of the old deck (bridge, regular), so if you need a replacement for it other than the  ace of spades or 8 of hearts from that deck, just let me know.
