Casinos near Granbury, TX

Hey folks,

In about 4 weeks I will be in Granbury, TX for several days visiting some of my wife's family.  I wonder how lucky I might be to find a card room within an hour or so of the city.  Any ideas?

i don't think they have any legal poker rooms in TX. lots of underground rooms however. that's all i know.

Hey folks.  Just returned from 8 days in Texas  (I'm in TN).  Great time, nice weather.  My wife and I got a hold of some bad food the last night there and had to stay an extra day puking our guts out, so I'll give the trip an 8 overall.

I spent about 4 hours in Winstar Casino in Oklahoma.  It was not my best moments.  I felt pretty rushed from the get-go, but thats not much of an excuse for me playing pretty poorly most of the trip.

First of all, they have a nice poker room.  Probably 35 or 40 tables.  The manager told me that on the weekend, they regularly have 30 games going:  1/2, 2/5, 4/8 LHE, 10/20 LHE and often 2/5 PLO or even 5/10 NLHE. 

They have tournaments almost everyday, and I was the first alternate in the Wednesday $60. They only start with 100 runners, but it didnt take long for me to get a seat.  Not a great structure, but it's what you'd expect for a daily $60 tournament.  3k chips, the BB progression wasn't super:  50, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 600, 800, 1200, etc... I didnt make it past the 600 level, as I ran AA into KK and AJ, so naturally that was no good.

Played 1/2 NLHE for probably 2 hours total.  I ran a flush into bottom 2 pair, no good and I folded a couple of times in spots that I am almost certain I was bluffed. 

Interesting note:   This was the first casino that I have ever seen that uses "the line" as an actual betting line.  Any chips that went over the line had to stay.  I got a warning when I had a stack of red and was stacking out 75 dollars in 3 piles.  She said next time the whole 100 had to stay.    Overall, really nice room.  No free drinks, though.  Except soda and coffee.
