Thanks.  That makes up a little bit for the previous weekend where I bubbled and got rivered for what would have been a 1k pay day.

That would have sucked ass.

I prolly should have at least made 3rd. Blinds were 20/40k. I only had 150, and posted the BB.

Button moves, I call (with any two, but happen to have A/10). He rolls over A/5. Flop comes A/10/5. He then goes runner/runner for a flush, lol. What do you do..........I was just happy to cash and make a little bit of loot.

Played in the sickest home-game tournament on the planet this weekend.  101 players.  Finished 11th and in the cash.

Jesus, a home game with 101 players?  I'd say that's sick all by itself.  The merge network still can't get that many players for a $44 buy in.

Online poker is still in hibernation, and I only travel to a casino a few times a year, so here is my shameless brag.

Sam's Town in Tunica has a monthly $150 buy in, 15k guarantee.  Yesterday I hit it up.  156 runners, we ended up doing a deal for around $2k each.  I sorta wanted to play it out, but the average stack was about 200k, and we were going into 10k/20k blinds.

I did get the privilege of being the only guy to say "no" to a deal with 16...yes, 16 players.  There were 3 of us at the time with between 250k and 300k and the other two apparently were in the mood to give money away.  People were sitting around with 2BB and the other leaders were more or less wanting to give them an even split.

I don't  have a problem with chopping...I even don't mind taking a slightly bad deal for me for a good guarantee of money, but to chop 16 ways seems a little ridiculous.

Sorry if I missed this in your post Stooks, but how many ended up chopping for 2k each? Regardless, congrats on the cash!

Upon re-reading my post, I realized it was pretty misleading and ambiguous.  When we got down to 7, the leader had 800k, which was half the chips in play.  He took 3k, the rest of us got 2k.  I told him he was being too generous, as there is no way I could have taken that little for what he had.

When we were down to 12 and I was getting hounded by the other 11 and their families from the rail (seriously) for not chopping, one of them asked what it would take for me to chop, so I grabbed my calculator and told them I'd walk for 3500, which was a little more than 2nd.  I told them that I'd show them why it was fair at that moment in thetournament, but otherwise, we were playing to at least 1 table before I'd even talk about a deal.

Late in 2011, some progress was made, as the government issued statements saying that they felt the Wire Act (and other bills/laws) shouldn't apply to online poker.  I heard an interview with the Prez of Caesar's and he said he was sure that online poker would be legal in 2012.  He added that he didn't know if it was at a state or federal, but that his company was going to be in business this year with online poker.  So, that's sorta iffy news....state level would really suck for a lot of places, but the federal level would be a pretty amazing thing since it hasnt even been a year since Black Friday.

Took down my first multi-day tourney this weekend.  1217 players $330 buy-in.  We actually did a 8 way chip chop but I was the leader so I get to be #1 with the most money.  Blinds getting out of control and a $80k difference between 8th and 1st.

There would be lots more wins listed but Florida never reported to the mags till about 6 months ago and then only the special tourneys.
