Also, does Darvin not own a single shirt with vertical stripes?  He would look so much slimmer.

Hey guys - I just saw the hand and was a bit suprised. I understand the reasoning of softplaying and I also understand the WSOP rules that have been posted at the beginning.

You also pasted "chip dumping... disqualified"

In our homegame we had some guy stating "iam going to leave" goes ALL IN. So should I then disqualify him and take the chips out? On that day we stated just to continue and he could just leave and get blinde off, but he wanted to go all in then. I ended to win his chips myself....

I think for the future I need to setup up some house roules. But I am not sure on how to explain the "chiecking the nuts is a penalty" Smiley

If a person states they are going to leave then goes all in there's really not a whole lot you can do...but it does get annoying. I've never heard of a penalty being enforced for that.
As far as checking the nuts it's simple....it's soft playing or colluding no matter how you look at it..why would you not bet there?

When I played the 2009 WSOP Main Event in day 1 this action happened in the river

-Board: A-K-Q-10-x no possible flush

Player A: Check
Player B: Bets
Player A: Raises
Player B: Call and show Jack-y for nuts
Player A mucks

Dealer awardes to B and I told that it was a penalty (I folded my hand preflop)

A floorman came and gives a hand penalty, but afterwards another floorman came and gives a complete round penalty and they ask for his wsop player card for register this penalty in future events...

He did bet the nuts, but called when raised. Not a smart move, and obviously against the rules of softplaying.

I do think the floorpeople should be more in one line when handing out penalties. I definitely don't like that a 1 hand penalty is upgraded to a 1 round penalty without any reason.

I think the original penalty is fair, but I don't think it should have been allowed to be extended to a round penalty. I think the first ruling should be final.
