Don't see how you can call two streets like that then fold the River for another half(-ish) pot bet. All things considered, the Queen on 5th street is really the best card you could have hoped for. Granted it means weaker Queens caught up but you now beat more hands that you were previously behind like AA or 66.

What is the question?

If you think you are ahead, why do you not check-raise on river?

If you think you are behind, why do you call on the other streets?

As I get it he only beats you if he has a K (or two), but then he beat you already on the flop.

There's no way you can check-raise the river here whether you think you're ahead or not.  If you're beat he'll at least call and if your hand is good he'll fold.
Also, the reason for calling the other two streets is that there's really no information on the other player's hand.  He could have a king or he could have JT, QJ, AQ, AA, JJ, TT, or any number of hands.  That's what makes spots like this one so tough.
It depends on the opponent, but personally I like calling, even if, as stooks said, it's a crying call.

I called because he's unknown and I'm around the top of my range as played. I made a duplicate post in unl on 2p2 and there are however some good arguments for a fold.

What information do you get by calling? Raising would most likely give a lot more information.

The value of information is determined by its cost, its accuracy and its value in the sense that it alllows us to make better descscions / earn more money, etc (sklansky), if I raise and he folds I know now he doesn't have a K, but that information doesn't give me any benefit in the hand because he folded, and I risked money to find that out.

You are risking the same money by calling on the next street.

his turn range is weaker then is continuation to a raise range, raising to soley find out if your beat is just bad poker. I probably didn't explain it all that well, but its covered in detph in TTOP by Sklansky.

UTG ($12.80)
Button ($25)
SB ($25.50)
Hero (BB) ($25)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, A
1 fold, Button bets $0.75, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.50

I raise here, screw calling.......I make it 1 to 1.25

Flop: ($1.60) K, Q, K (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $1.25, Hero calls $1.25

based on the pot, I bet 1 to 1.5, if he had called my raise, then I make it 1.75

Turn: ($4.10) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $2.75, Hero calls $2.75

If I'm frisky, firing again, if I'm convinced I'm beat, I check, maybe call a small bet

River: ($9.60) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $5.50, Hero calls $5.50

Have to call here imo

Just remember, I suck at Poker
