Played at Motor City last night for about 7 hours. Picked up AA's three times, and K's three times.
The same group started the table, and pretty much stayed there the entire time I played. I have to say, it was the most fun I have had at a Casino. The table banter was very entertaining. A couple of guys, if they won a big pot on a suckout, were buying drinks, ect.... a lot of fun.
This was a 1/2 table, 200 buy in. It was mostly insane (as these stakes go at the Casino). Pre Flop bets ranged from 2 (yes, several times it would limp around with 7 players in the pot) to 20 bucks. I mostly kept my pre flop bets at 11 if I was first in the pot.
2nd hand of the evening, I pick up AA's in middle position (we formed the table, so no out of position posting). I'm first in, make it 11. It folds to the button (who was already down to 38). He shoved. It folded to me and I called. My AA's held up.
I win another small pot. Then nothing for about an hour. I folded about every hand.
I pick up AA's again in middle position. The guy to my right is new to the table, but has showed complete garbage.
First to act makes it 8, guy to my right makes it 20 (YES!!!!). I contemplate my action, I raise it to 55. Folds to the guy on my right, he shoves for 120, I call. He flips 10's over. My AA's hold up to win a nice pot. He rebuys for 100.
Next hand I pick up a suited A/K. Same guy makes it 15. I contemplate my action. I almost raise, but I don't want to lose a 100 on A/K. I just call. Only one other caller. Flop comes A, J, 5 two spades. He pushes is remaining 85 bucks, I instant call. The other guy folds. He shows K's, my hand holds up.
Same guy rebuys for 75. Three hands later I pick up AA's again. Same guy makes it 10 (He's first in the pot, First to act). I contemplate my raise, then I make it 26. Most of the table understands I'm running hot, and that for the first two hours or so at the table I was playing tight. First to bet dude shoves, I snap call, and my AA's hold up. He mutters something to the effect of f$%k off...........and never came back to the table.
Chip stack wasn't on to much of a roller coaster.
Bought in for 200. Took it to 250, down to 100. Reloaded to 200. At one point I was up to 625. In my last hour of play, I made some crazy aggressive SOB pay 150 on the flop to chase his draw. He called, and hit his gut shot on the river for about a 400 pot.
I pick up A/J suited. A couple of limpers. I make it 11 in late position. I get 4 callers. Flop comes J, 2, 4, two hearts. I really like this flop obviously. Checks to me. I bet 55 and get one caller. Turn is a black 9. It checks to me. There is slightly more than 150 in the pot. I look at the villain, he has about 150 left. I put him all in. He instant calls...........yikes. We don't roll over our cards. Turn brings a black 5, he shows his straight, wow.......I just say nice hand Sir..........
I won a couple of more small pots to recover some of my losses before taking off.
I cashed at 572 for a net gain of 172. A very good time, and I made some money.
