In the $2 games, this is such a crapshoot of a decision.  That being said, I don't hate the shove, but I think you have to know that you're shoving with a draw that needs to get there if you're called.  There is no chance of being called here by Ace high, usually.  There are, of course, situations where  a a guy is losing his mind and you'll be ahead.

So, if you're ok with putting your money in with 10 outs that are probably all good, I don't hate the fold.  You have a lot of chips here, so I dont know if I'm just gonna stick it in.  It depends on how many players left, when payouts start/change, etc.  I have played a ton of $2/180 man games lately and my goal is to build my chips during the mid/late levels, so I might go a head and shove here hoping that I'm against an overpair.

I don't hate the shove either. Someone betting or calling that could have something like AdXd. Assuming that no one has a Straight already you are in OK shape with at least 6 outs for your open ender, maybe all 8 if no one has diamonds plus the two other sevens will trump any two pair or Sets that may have hit the Flop. So up to 10 outs (again, assuming no one has a Straight already). I mean, really that's about as good a missed Flop as you can ask for with your hand except for it being rainbow. That's if the hand is in a vacuum though. Without knowing more about where your chip position is relative to the field and the money bubble it's hard to say what the right tourney decision would be.

Don't post results.  It makes it very hard to get totally unbiased opinions.
As for the hand, I agree with stooks about gambling here.  And I like the shove to be honest.  If you raise him and he shoves there's no way you're folding, so going ahead and shoving seems best.  The one problem I see is open limping.  By limping you seem to be set mining (or hoping for a rare 456 type flop), and I can't think this is best at this point in the tournament.  Maybe I'm wrong here, but opening for a raise seems that it has to be the better move.

I'd have probably raised pre flop.

I'd have shoved like you did.

Thanks everyone.

I was caught between limping and raising.  The table had been VERY limp-happy and folding to as little as min-raises pre.  I was trying to maximize my set mining.

As for the shove, I didn't think villain had AdKd, as it would have been raised pre.  A re-raise commits me to this pot, right?  As Martini said above, this was about as good of a whiff as I could have asked for and would have been happy to take it down then, but I was confident I had 10 clean outs twice to make my hand.  Also, as my M was getting low I was trying to get a little more aggressive and build my stack to where I could play a bit more post flop.

Obv. this hand didn't work out but I was able to rebound, build a stack, and lose to a nut calling off with Jd10dwhen I shoved on his raise w/ AKo.  Flop JJx and I went out 84th of close to 2000 runners (I think).
