My poker buds and I have been talking about the merits of Omaha AAxx hands and the question came up as to whether there is an AAxx hand which is not favored heads up against any other hand other than another AAxx hand. I don't know the answer to this but I know that a middle double suited four card run plays best against AAxx hands. Can anyone come up with an AAxx hand and an opponents hand where the AAxx hand is not favored? You can pick all suits and unassigned ranks.

True enough. I should have specified that we were talking about only two Aces in Hero's hand and the side cards being non-Aces.

@Wedge
Looks good! We figured it would have to be something like that. We got close after tinkering around a bit but didn't nail a <50% one. Winner winner chicken dinner!

You could probably get a little better if villain's hand was 4567, because you don't lose a 9 to the hero's hand.

I just made sure it was four-suited and as dis-connected as possible for straight purposes, then filled in a two-suited four-straight hand for the villain.

Yeah, we weren't sure on the side cards. We gave up pretty quickly because all we had was a phone around at the time to figure out odds. We thought that the Deuce would help AAxx make a Wheel but no more so than any other baby card. Moving the run down lower would counterfeit Hero's Wheel I guess.

I guess there aren't a lot of AA hands that aren't favored versus one opponent, but there are a lot that will get bad players stacked after the flop...  Roll Eyes
