Middle of a tournament, blinds are 20/40, 8 person table.  Everyone folds to button-1 (loose, passive).  B-1 goes all in for 100.  Button and SB fold.  You are the BB, 500 left after posting.  You have Q3o.  Do you call or fold?

x2.....with almost 3 to 1 on a call you have to call with almost anything here....and you may very well have 2 live cards, with 2.5 bb left he is going to be pushing with just about anything.

Well at least it looks like I made the right play.  After making sure I had the situation right, I did insta-call.  The other player, my dad, had sixes.  I rivered a straight.  He asked me about it the next day and I said basically what has been said in this thread.

You can also tell him that it is a mistake to let yourself get such a short stack that someone in your situation MUST call since he has no fold equity. If he had recently suffered a beat and got short stacked from that then there's nothing wrong with his play but if he had been blinded down to that stack size then he mis-managed his stack.
