We received some Dal Negro samples - bridge 2SI, bridge 2JI, poker 4SI and poker 2JI (I think). Same as our popular Freedom X cards, but with different face designs. Thinking of different ways to share them creatively, but we're still swamped. Any thoughts? Thanks. AF

We could have tournament on Bluff Ave. and whoever wins gets a setup.

Another naming contest?

For what it's worth, I LOVE the weight, thickness, color and texture of the Freedom X. The only drawback with those cards are the shape of the pips. My players have a hard time separating the clubs from the spades.

If these new cards have changed the pip design at all, I will have my new favorite after the venerable Torcello's.

Samples are for giving to good clients as a thank you. Or to give to reviewers.  Or to give as goodwill to a new home game that you want to foster.  Or as a prize for some sort of contest (even if bogus).  Or to say "We appologize for our error!" if your entire staff gets the flu and your temp hire screws up some order.
Contest Ideas:  The amount of years Trident Cards has been in business,  The number of customers Trident Cards has sold to divided by 100,  The weight of your uncle George when he was inducted into the US Army in 1940, the amount of setups owned by one of your larger clients on a specific date, the weight of chocolate given to your employees this last Valentine's Day ....

I like the idea of a freeroll.  Not sure if everyone was able to get Bluff Ave to work or not, but I thought it was cool

Firstly, thanks again to Alex for all the work he puts into bringing new products to the market.

I received a sample of the second generation of the Freedom X cards that we all have seen before and were responsible for naming. The faces of these cards have reverted back to a traditional suit design. These cards are actually the exact printing of the Torcello cards on the faces, with the Freedom X back design.

Similarities stop there. The material used on these cards are the same as the first Freedom X decks -  slightly thinner than the original Torcello's, yet I don't think they are as thin as a Copag (though I am going by memory, I don't currently have any Copag cards). The stiffness, texture, feel of these cards are to my tastes... perfect.

I had said in previous reviews of the Freedom X cards that they were my favorite except for the suit design, which some of my players had a hard time distinguishing clubs from spades. These cards, going back to my favorite 4-pip traditional suit design, are the best cards I have handled, including Modiano, Desjgn, Zero, NTP, Kem, Copag, and others I am probably forgetting.

Alex hasn't released to me any further details on these cards: what the new name will be, or whether they will be available in other indices (though I have a suspicion they will be).

Sweet! Are these available for sale yet?

I'd love to have a setup of these.  Grin
