I have worked in Online Poker for many years and always enjoyed the creative aspect of the job. In 2010 I embarked on a project of my own to deliver high-end affordable Card Protectors / Dealer Buttons to serious Poker Players. These are not the standard flat protectors which are then just engraved. My designs are all sculpt, moulds made then spun to give a fantastic 3D look. The base material is Zinc then plated in many different metals giving an avg weight of 30g.

The designs take a while to complete from design to finish and they are all limited to 1000 pieces and numbered for collectability.

I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment. All members of this forum can use this coupon 'thenuts' as an introductory offer to receive a 20% dicount until the end of February 2010.

My link has been added to the HPT website and nutN2Lewz has suggested that I post a classified ad in this forum.

Best Wishes to you all

Hello,
I went ahead and ordered one, looks very nice thanks.
Will you be making any larger size dealer buttons? I know we like to have a good size puck (not buck) when we play, and although 4.5 cm is an adequaate size for a card protector, we find it a little small for a dealer button. We look forward to upcoming different designs, colors and materials.
Thanks,
MK

Hi Murray
Yeah we can always look at bigger but it ramps up the cost to you. Let me tell you the process and hopefully you can appreciate the workmanship;
1) Idea is digitally drawn with a layered (3D) perspective in mind.
2) Once approved we make a small sculpt to gauge how it will look
3) Once we polish up the sculpt it's sent away for spin casting
4) First solid cast is made which we call a Briquette (3 made). We often raffle these or use in competitions.
5) Next we decide the Plating options
6) we cast on 1000 then moulds are destroyed

Hopefully you can appreciate the effort.

As I work in online poker I was privvy to alot of poker players. They did comment that the Dealer Buttons used in Casinos are sometimes to big and clumbersome. If a snazzy button was created which caught poler players eyes a smaller one would be prefered.

Still your comments are noted and maybe we will do bigger?

I received the dealer button today. Very quick shipping! Very nice work, I can see that a lot of effort went into it. It comes well packaged in it's own protective metal case with a felt interior. I will try it Tuesday night in our weekly cash game, I'm sure everyone will like it. Ideally I would have liked it to be a little bigger and heavier, but I'm particular, many players will prefer it as is. I noted that the blank pre-engraved piece of metal is made in China, but this is understandable in order to keep the price affordable. It is well worth the money and light years ahead of any plastic dealer button for sure. I would certainly recommend it to anyone and I am looking forward to prospective future designs. Thank you.

Many thanks my friend. I'm so glad you enjoyed your first Dealer Button / Card Protector from www.dealerbuttons.co.uk .

If you could pop a comment on my site under the product you bought that would be fab. A copy and paste job is more than enough.

I wish you all the best in your next game and hope it brings you tons of luck !!

Best Wishes from the UK

Ok....after running a competition on a forum for fans to come up with ideas for the next Dealer Button / Card Marker I can announce that we did have a winner and after playing with the idea for a while here's the concept for the next cool product. The winner of the competition gets print No.1 and a briquette FREE.

 COPYRIGHT APPLIES !

This is now being cast and will be in store soon Smiley

Hope you like.

Hopefully the next competition can be put on this forum for you to come up with the next button.

Best Wishes

Steven

Wow, I definitely agree with Murray on a little bigger Dealer Button. I actually took out a ruler sized up 4.5 cm and thought that would be too small for a Dealer Button. The Buttons I use now currently are 5 cm or 5.5 cm. Just my suggestion. The Big D is what I was looking at. That one is gorgeous!!!!! Congrats on these btw.

4.5cm is the perfect card protector size ...... in fact anything over 5cm is not legal in the wsop.

but small for a dealer button....

Hi Guys

What I'm trying to achieve in the design is something duel purpose. So it doubles as a Card Protector and a Dealer Button.

Our first Fan Choice competition ended a few months back and the winning idea was worked up into the latest creation from www.dealerbuttons.co.uk entitled Fish Bowl

This is now for sale in the shop.

Hopefully I will run a similar comp on here sometime soon.

Any chance we can get a photo of these next to a quarter for scale purposes? I'm interested in buying a couple, but want to have a better idea of actual size. Thanks.
