Gov. Ed Rendell is going to sign the bill for tables games to come to PA!  Guess I'm ghing to have to quit my job so I can play poker.  Look for PA Poker Tournaments coming soon. 

Jason @ Desjgn - Get those cards ready... If I were you start making phone calls about how you can get some sample decks into the hands of those that will be picking the cards for the poker room.

It's official...he signed the bill not too long ago. Regulators say it will be atleast 6 months however before the games are up and running. The part that I find funny is he bullied to get this bill passed, threatening layoffs of over 1,000 state employees. He then told reporters after he signed it that he had 'mixed feelings' about the bill.

The news here in the Poconos now says we could have games running by July 4th.....that would be awesome.

Parx Casino is in the process of hiring dealers as I type this.  They have just hired the executive types for the table games dept., dealer and floor supers are on the way.  June or July you will see table games at Parx.

same here at the casinos close to me (Mt. Airy and Sands). Mt Airy has the table games in the casino already and claims they will be up and running 'by July.'

Game on! The Rivers and Meadows both opened their rooms last night. I went to Rivers, I like it a lot. No more hour drives dodging deer to get to Mountaineer, although you may think you're at Mountaineer while playing at Rivers since a bunch of dealers from Mountaineer took jobs at Rivers. Thats a good thing, I really like a lot of those dealers and they bring solid experience to the new room. I saw some scary things at the black jack tables with the new dealers.
