Trying to determine which casino would be the best to go to (if any) to get some type of mixed game action, preferably for lower stakes ($150-$200) buy-in in AC. I have been once, and went to Caesar's. I loved the poker room there, but it was on a Tuesday..and it took forever to get a second table going so we could play. I guess i really have two questions...the first about the mixed game...and the second is what place has consistent action for 1/2 NL or a 4/8, possibly 5/10 limit game during the week? Any input would be much appreciated...thanks everyone!

If Staying at the Borawalk area ....  ShowBoat, Trump, Tropicana ....
Borgata however, IS the AC poker destination.
It's  probably 1 of the top 3 best Poker rooms in the country, & you'll find the most variety of games.
Chips suck, however...  They use the Bud Jones plastic slippery stick together can't be shuffled type, for the cash tables....

... that have massive amounts of crud that make them stick together. I went to call a bet of 500 in a tournament there last summer, threw one purple chip from the top of my stack and 2 others went with it. The tournaments are great ... just make sure to verbalize your actions!

Borgata chips feel semi-magnetic, there is some electronics inside.  Watch the next time you cash out and the cage person confirmed.

I like the bogata and the taj.  The taj feels more like old school players.

I've played in most of them down there, but I think you tend to gravitate where you either started or seem to win the most.  (or where your buddy has comps)

That's actually an "urban legend" .. The Borg chips are standard GPI Bud Jones type, which have a stick together/suction quality to them, & people for years thought (think) they were magnets.
The Borg tournament director even mentioned over on 2+2 that the Casino actually bought a machine that very slightly roughs them up when new, to try to minimize the sticking together.

Last time I played in a WSOP circuit event at Caesars I stayed next door at Trump THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A POKER ROOM.

I thought the Trop had closed reopened and then closed and or reopened again not much action there!
