Hi, I'm new to the forums just found out about you guys today. Anyway I'm interested in putting together a game at my house with some friends and I've been looking into some table options. Bein that its my first table I dont know much about them and I don't have too high of a price range, 350 being my max. Does anyone have any good tables in mind? I also came accross this table which I liked a lot and was wondering if anyone had ever purcahsed a tbale from this supplier.

Table

Thanks for your help.

For $350 you can build your own using quality parts with little more than an jigsaw and stapler. You can put one together in about 6 hours start to finish.

IMO that looks really nice for $300, and if I was in the market for one I would strongly consider. Having said that, you have to anticipate the materials to be very cheap, especially in regards to the railing. One major plus is that the felt looks removable and for about $50-60 you can get a really nice sheet of suited speed cloth which will improve the overall quality significantly.

The price is very good if the "wood" is oak or birch plywood. It may just be what is typically called hardwood which is often "softwood." Still acceptable and looks nice. The placement of the cup holders in my opinion is wrong for a racetrack table. You sit between the cup holders which will mean there is no center spot for a dedicated dealer. If you straddle the cup holder your chips are to the left or right which is a bit wierd. That placement works fine if the cup holders are in the rail.

this is just my two cents when it comes to tables.

If you have the room:  I would go with a round table for a couple of reasons.

1: if you don't have a dedicated dealer, it's hard to deal from the ends.

2:  a round table makes it easier to scoop the pot no matter where you are sitting.

it's easier to to converse with everyone at the table.

Good luck
