Here's a trip report:
Between Sept 9-19 , I Played 3 events in the WPT Borgata Poker Open.....
 1 -  6/player/table NL $500, 2 - $$ Sattl into main Event, & 3 - The Main Event.

The 6-plyr Tourn went very well, 11AM start, I didn't cash, but out of 43-ish tables, I busted out at around 11 tables @ 9 PM.

The Sattelite into the main event I won. Smiley  It went from 7PM to 4AM, paid about 20% of field (about 35 players paid), an entry in the the WPT main event the next morning.
Near the end of the sattllitee, this guy pictured here, Allen Kessler, who's made a few Televised tables, was moved to my table:

I honestly forget if I busted him ,or someone else did, but he was out a few before the bubble (He mentioned he already bought into the main event anyway)....

** Interesting, when it was near the bubble, the floor stopped the game & warned all players that you will be "out" if they hear anyone telling another player to "call" an all-in, or mention pot odds out loud, ect .. It seems there was an incedent at another table where a shortstack was all in against a bigger stack & people were chiming in with these type comments ....

So, Here it was, After 4AM, & The 4-day Main event Day 1B starts @ 11AM ... went up to room, got about no sleep, cleaned up, & went down to the Event center to sit .  Dealers had us sign a WPT/TV release form when we got to the tables.
Kenna James sang the National Anthem to start off the day, & the great looking skimpy dress Borgata girls would walk up the aisles with big "Round 1" , "Round 2" cards held up over their heads , "Boxing match style", at the beginning of each blind level.

Kathy Leibert, Steve Dannanmen, Wrobleski, Gavin Smith, Bill Gazes, Varkonyi, Brecher, on & on ... ... oh, & there's that Allen Kessler at the next table...
40K start stack,  25/50, no levels ever doubled after 50/100...
Went well for me the 1st couple of (75min) levels, was up a few K,  & above average.
I had a good table image & a good read on a couple of players.  I was in seat 5, a 60-ish guy in seat 8 was an absolute Rock, everyone at the table had nicknamed him Mr. A/K .  He folded everything except Jacks or better, & folded every time his raise was reraised.
Seat 2 was a young kid w/ tattooed neck, looked like a young Cory Feldman.  He started drinking mixed drinks as soon as we sat down, & was "predictable". Guy in seat 6 was "solid poker guy", Seat 7 was a 20-something "My move is to pop it big after everyone limps" dude,  seat 4 was "Southern accent" player.

I won plenty of pots, but you only remember the ones you lost  Smiley...
I eventually busted out around 7PM ... Here's how it got there ...
I pick up K/K early, decide to make it about 6x BB to discourage multiple callers.. I'm called By Southern Accent to my right.
Flop comes 10/2/8 rainbow. SouthernA checks,  I bet over 1/2 the pot & get called.  Turn is a 3, another check,  bet, call.  River is another harmless looking card, I check, Accent bets a little less than 1/2 pot... I make a crying call & see his flopped trip dueces.
I  later picked up K/K again in early position & make a 5x BB raise... I'm called by the button, & the southern guy next to me.
Flop comes 7-7-X, I bet half the pot, get called by the button & by southern accent guy.
Turn is a rag, Southern guy checks, I bet 1/2 pot, Button  raises, Southern guy Re-Raises, so I toss away the K's...., eventually finding out that Both of them had a 7, for trips each, Button called pre w/ A-7, & Southern actually called with 7/10 rags.
There goes another chunk of my stack.
A string of good pre flop hands ( J/J, 10/10, A/Ks, A/Q, 5/5 ect) ... All had to be tossed post flop/turn, further eating down my chips ...
When I was down to around 15 or so BB's,  The Corey Feldman dude, who was shortstacked for quite a while, with about 7 or so BB's ...
It folds to Feldman on the cutoff, & he goes all-in (which he's already done a few times).. Folds to Me, & I look down at A/Q, I Just knew he was making a move for the blinds, & called.  He says "good call" & shows 6/10 off.  He of course catches a 6 & now I'm sitting with less than 10 BB's .....
A few hands later I see pocket 10's &, with about 7 BB's left,  of course shove ...It Folds to button, to who re-raises all-in, (Uh-Oh!),  my 10's ran into his pocket Jacks & I'm out.

Turns out this had the highest  attendance of any WPT main event, probably due to the $3300 entry fee .....
