Hello. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mike Sweet. I'm 29. I have been building tables since 2003. I have added some pics of some of the tables I have built in the past to show what kind of work I do. I also have added an ebay link for my current table I have for sale. It is the same table that has all the chips in the surface in my pics. Also on some of the tables pictured there are glass inlay with lights (these are the tables with the white suits on the surface) and some have metal inlay (they are the grayer metallic looking suits).  Please take a look and feel free to email me at mikesweet77@hotmail.com with any questions. Best wishes and thanks for looking!

I liked some of the tables, but not the others. The tables that had the beatiful wood edges I didnt like... For one major reason... They would be a pain in the backside to play on... Looking are your whole cards would be hard, cause it would be hard to pick them up... I know I have played on many a kitchen table. lol.

You would think that by looking at them. But to be honest I have played on my tables before and when you sit at them your arms comfortably reach the felt center with no problem. So you just have to pull your cards off the edge of the felt or just use the padded felt and look at your cards. It is just like having a racetrack design on a holdem table. A kitchen table is much different cause your only options are to try and pick your card up (which we all know is a pain) or you have to pull your cards to the edge and off the table.

Some of these tables seem to be very top heavy compared to the bases...  They appear as if they would tip over if anyone would bang their heads on it after a bad loss...  The  spades bases seem to be the worst...

Just my 2 cents...

On the other hand... I love the glass edges... easier to clean up after the games!

When I made the first one with the spade base I thought it would be that way too. But it is very sturdy. I wouldn't have kept making them that way if it was going to tip over. You would be suprised if you knew how small an area you actually need to support a table. I could cut inches off the table base and it would still support the table very well.
