I have a small website featuring poker tables and someone emailed me about another builders website , and noticed that this other persons website had hidden text of keywords on it, and lo and behold, if you scroll across the hidden text, the name of my company is listed. Im not sure what to think about this!
Any thoughts on why someone would do this?

They are probably trying to get their website to show up when people search for yours. Search engines are pretty sophisticated these days and using "invisible" text is pretty amateur hour. As long as your site is ranked well above your competitor's website when you search for your company I would say that trying to do anything about it is probably more trouble than it's worth. If it makes you feel better you could try reporting it to Google (the search engine that matters most) and tell them you think the other site is trying to manipulate their search ranking. Search engines can and have delisted websites for trying to game the system though I'm guessing that your competitor's site is too small for them to worry about.
