Wow, you really get Madden '10 with it? I was going to spend $60 to buy Madden anyway...

I just can't be sure about this. I mean, a year subscription PLUS a new $60 game for $50? That sounds too good to be true...

I saw the advertisement on Fox Sports while watching the Tigers game. I looked it up, it looks legitimate. I'm guessing their hoping you stay on for more than a 1 year subscription. I'll roll the dice, I'm signing up. You could always wait and get the Lions Super Bowl Champs package from Sports Illustrated.... That'll help his great-great grandson; but what about DD? I wouldn't even be that optimistic.

It's a nice little luxury to get SI every week. The real bonus is the swimsuit edition straight to your door every spring. If you pass up this deal you really are an old curmudgeon.

I subscribed for about three years. I really enjoyed the magazine.........now I can't pass up this deal NFA and I got SI in 1994 (when we were 13) until, like, 2004 and really enjoyed it. With Madden '10 coming with it, this is just a great deal.

It just dawned on me since I had to cancel my credit cards yesterday that it would probably screw this deal up for me.
I called Sports Ill, and of course it did. I just had to cancel my order and wait until the new cards come in.

Has anyone signed up for this? It seems too good to be true, but I really want that game! I'm way tempted even if I have to call them in a few weeks and tell them I don't want my subscription to auto-renew. Thanks in advance.

I signed up, but had to cancel when I lost my credit cards. I did speak with SI and confirm this offer. Due to the special, all orders get put on a 14day hold before processing

And it's alright if you cancel the auto-renew at any time?

I thought it seemed too good to be true also, but it seems legit. It is weird that you get a $60 game free with a $50 subscription, though.

I buy my games through an online store and they always send me to a bizrate questionnaire that rewards me with $2 subscriptions to magazines - yep $2 for a year of SI. They send you the renewal reminders and I just call and cancel when that renewal card comes in the mail. Basically they practically give away subscriptions to their magazines via certain outlets in order to push up their subscriber numbers, thereby gaining advertising revenue. It's pretty important nowadays when everyone is getting their news via the internet so their subscriber base keeps dropping every year.

Sports Illustrated is an American sports media company owned by media conglomerate Time Warner. Its self titled magazine has over 3.5 million subscribers and is read by 23 million adults each week, including over 18 million men. It was the first magazine with circulation over one million to win the National Magazine Award for General Excellence twice.
