Casino Rama?

Has anyone on these boards been to Casino Rama in Ontario? I'm thinking of going up in a couple weeks to meet some friends who are, currently, living in Muskoka to play some poker there. I was wondering what it's like playing there, etc.

Also, this is more of a general question but can you just keep a $1 chip, etc. instead of cashing it out to keep as a souvenir? Or do they have specific ones you are supposed to take?

Haven't been there, but the answer to your second question is, yes (provided you're talking about cash chips, not tourney chips).

If you're looking for a souvenir it wouldn't hurt to go to the cashier's cage and tell them you are looking for a souvenir chip. They might have nicer ones set aside. A tip is always appreciated.

If you are looking for Souvenir chips you may want to look elsewhere than Rama

I've played there a few times and there chips are very worn out and used.  Definately didn't see any i'd want to use at my home games.


The Room is friendly however with a rake of 10% to a max of $5 on the 1/2NL tables.  You can get free soda or hot chocolate but alcohol is an extra charge.

Your buy-in will be paid in $5 chips if your playing 1/2 but the 2/5  game looks to get a huge stack of $1's.  Still all of the chips in the room have been in circulation for a long time.  Wash your hands after
