I'm gonna be staying at the Marriot adjacent to the FallsView in Niagara Falls this August.  Has anyone ever played there?  What is it like?

I haven't played there but I'm pretty sure the two casinos there don't comp drinks.  The two are pretty highly correlated...

I have played at Seneca Niagara just across the border in Niagara Falls USA and the games are soft.  Again, pretty high correlation between the two...  Going to need a passport or about 4372 forms of ID to get across the border though.

Not sure if u read in the papers down there but 2 Canadian parents who's daughter was sent down there for an incubator were denied entry because they had no passports ?  the baby was let in though.

In Canada we out-source our incubators lol...

I have never been there myself, but if the one dollar chips are nice, maybe you could mail me one while you are there!  Grin

I play up there pretty often. I like casino niagara better, its the other one up there.

Fallsview is the new casino, its nicer, but more expensive. All the regular casino table games have higher minimums, on weekends ive seen times where the cheapest blackjack tables were 25. The poker rooms nicer, but there's always really long wait times for games, call well ahead to get your name put on the list. Fallsview is one of the rooms that does session fees instead of a rake, its $5 every half hour.

Casino Niagara isnt far from the Fallsview / Marriot area, its a nice walk weather permitting. If your not into walking, i'm pretty sure they run shuttles back and forth (the casinos are under the same ownership). Its an older casino, and although they renovated it recently you can still pretty well tell. I like it though, they rake as opposed to the session fees (which can be rough if you're on a cold streak).

It depends on what stakes you're playing, too. Casino Niagara usually just runs a bunch of 1/2nl tables with one or two 2/5nl tables. Fallsview usually only has a couple 1/2 tables with more 2/5 tables and usually a 5/10 or two. There's always interest for other games there, but i've never been around for one to start up.
