Yeah, that's a donkey move on the part of your opponent; he didn't have any money left after his one attempt to push you off..which is an argument that he shouldn't have bet in the first place.  He won, that's how it goes sometimes.

Yeah, the guy is down to needing runners. The most charitable explanation I can think of is that he misread his hole cards and thought he had 87 instead of 67.

Well, it's not like he mistook Queens for Deuces. The 8 and 6 are reasonably similar to each other. And if he's mutitabling then even more reason that a mistake could happen. I don't know what happened for sure. All I'm saying is that he would not be the first or last person to misread his cards, even online. And that thinking he had an 8 would explain the play in the hand.
