I am staying at the MGM grand I am looking for a good place to play Texas Hold'em NL tournament during the day with buyin between 50 - 100.

Has anybody played at Planet Hollywood lately?  Looking for feedback on poker room and tournament structure.

I have been reviewing http://www.allvegaspoker.com/tournaments.php.  However the information seems out dated.  I found this on PH website but they don't have the blind structure.

10:00 AM - $50 Buy-in - $10 Add-on
- Players receive 1,500 tournament chips for each buy-in.
- Players receive 2,500 tournament chips for each add-on.
- Add-on must be taken at registration.
- Only one add-on with each buy-in.

Any feed or other recommendations would be great.

Without knowing the blind structure ahead of time I wouldn't play in it. Can you call them?

For a $60 Buy In, I'm guessing the structure sucks ass. Just a guess though.

I will call them, I was just trying to narrow my options down so I wasn't calling every casino on the strip.

Unless they've changed it the PH tourney is pretty decent considering it is a low buy in event. You just aren't going to get great structures for that amount of money.

Agreed.

I played there more than a year ago in a morning rebuy.  about 35 people was okay, but not a great structure.

I think thought that with the add-ons etc were like $65 anyway.

Excalibur had a good decent tourney for $35 once, but heard they went with the poker pro tables so that may be different now.

I found that the all vegas site was close but not exact when I went to the casinos to enter, so I did a walk up and down the first day and got the details from the casino's i wanted to play at and found out the real deal.

Still i would say as a planning tool about who and approximately when the allvegassite was more that helpful even if the casinos has slightly different times on occassions.

cheers and most of all have fun.

Thanks for the informaition, I understand playing for $50-$100 I am not going to get the best structure but I am just an amateur player that wants to have a little fun without breaking the bank.

If I happen to win some money then maybe I will raise the stakes.  I will also be playing some cash games while I am there.  Probably 1/2 NL hold'em

The 1:00 pm Hard Rock was the best structured game in that buy-in range that I saw. Plus there are a number of addon and bonuses to be made before the tourny.

This one looks interesting, do you know if I would be able to walk from MGM grand to Hard Rock? or should I take a Taxi?  It will be hot since I will be there the last week of June.

It would be about three blocks of walking...three long Las Vegas blocks but walkable. Probably not the most comfortable walk you'll ever have since it will likely be scorching out but doable. According to Google it's going to be about 1.3 miles give or take depending on where your room is.
