I know that in Texas Hold'em you proof the winning hand by pushing the board cards that make the winning hand up a bit.

So if the hands are jack of spades 3 of hearts and queen of hearts ten of diamonds

You would proof the board 8 of clubs 2 of hearts queen of diamonds ten of clubs 9 of hearts and award the pot to jack of spades 3 of hearts

But how about in Omaha? Do you just proof the board, or do you proof the winning hand as well?

So would it be:
2 of spades ace of spades 9 of hearts 9 of spades          ten of spades jack of hearts queen of hearts 3 of spades king of hearts          5 of hearts ten of diamonds 4 of clubs 5 of clubs and award the pot to 5 of hearts ten of diamonds 4 of clubs 5 of clubs

or:
2 of spades ace of spades 9 of hearts 9 of spades          ten of spades jack of hearts queen of hearts 3 of spades king of hearts          5 of hearts ten of diamonds 4 of clubs 5 of clubs and award the pot to 5 of hearts ten of diamonds 4 of clubs 5 of clubs?

or... do you proof both hands and then award it to the winner?

2 of spades ace of spades 9 of hearts 9 of spades          ten of spades jack of hearts queen of hearts 3 of spades king of hearts          announce pair of nines

5 of hearts ten of diamonds 4 of clubs 5 of clubs          ten of spades jack of hearts queen of hearts 3 of spades king of hearts          announce pair of tens and then award the pot to 5 of hearts ten of diamonds 4 of clubs 5 of clubs?

I don't know the answer, but I think you need to edit your example. For those hands I would think queens and tens win (with 9 as kicker), but you have four cards (8QT9) moved forward and say J3 gets the pot?

I would say just jog the board cards used in the winning hand and leave the hole cards alone just like Hold'em.

I think it would be interesting to find out what the procedure is for Hi/Lo. Maybe adjust the board once for the Hi half and award half the pot then do the same for the Lo half?

That example is a hold 'em hand not omaha so the j3 wins with a straight to the queen vs the other hand which is 2 pair queens and tens.

I really suck on seeing straight draws on the board...

I've never played straight-up Omaha at a casino...it's always been H/L.

And in that case, I've seen all kinds of things.
